Littleton Police to Host Annual Cornhole Tournament to Benefit K-9 Foundation
LITTLETON — Chief Matthew King is pleased to announce that the Littleton Police Department is hosting its second annual cornhole tournament to benefit its K-9 Foundation.
Money raised from the event will fund training and equipment for Officer Brian Casey and his partner K-9 Vojak.
The winning team will receive a trip for four to Las Vegas with airfare and hotel included.
“Last year’s tournament was so successful that we wanted to recreate it this year,” Chief King said. “We encourage residents to come out for this fun event that will greatly benefit our K-9 unit.”
WHERE:
Billiards Cafe, 39 Main St., Ayer
WHEN:
Saturday, March 3 at 5 p.m.
WHAT:
Residents interested in participating should sign up in teams of two. The entry fee for each pair is $59. Spectators will be asked to make a $10 donation at the door.
Beyond bringing the community together for a fun evening out, the goal of the tournament is to ensure the K-9 program remains a sustainable entity of the Littleton Police Department.
Food will be supplied by Mickey Murphy’s No Bail BBQ and music and more than 40 raffle prizes will be provided.
Through the Littleton Police K-9 Foundation, a registered nonprofit, police will be able to use the money raised to fund annual training (twice a month patrol courses and once a month drug classes) for Officer Casey and K-9 Vojak, equipment, vet expenses, toys, rewards, food, cruiser maintenance and more.
To register for the event, contact Officer Casey at BCasey@littletonpd.com.
