Chief Matthew Pinard is pleased to announce that the Littleton Police Department is raising money to support those with autism during the month of April.
April is Autism Acceptance Month, and a commemorative version of the department’s patch will be available to those who donate $10 or more to benefit the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism.
The Flutie Foundation works to provide financial assistance for people and families affected by autism, and help those with Autism lead productive lives where they are actively engaged in the community. The Foundation is also committed to educating the public about Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Those who would like to donate and receive a Littleton Police autism acceptance patch are asked to send a check for $10 or more made out to the Littleton Patrolman’s Association, as well as a self-addressed stamped envelope to:
Littleton Police Department
c/o Deputy Chief Jeff Patterson
500 Great Road
Littleton, MA 01460
Residents can also obtain a patch by bringing donations directly to the police station.
“We are excited to be able to once again offer this patch and support the Flutie Foundation,” said Chief Pinard. “Thank you to the members of the Littleton Patrolmen’s Association for supporting this effort. Working together to bring acceptance makes us stronger as a community.”
