Chief Matthew Pinard reports that the Littleton Police Department responded to a collision between a motor vehicle and a bicycle on King Street on Wednesday morning.
On Wednesday, Jan. 3, at approximately 10:30 a.m., Littleton Police and Fire responded to a report of a crash at 119 King St.
Officers arrived to discover a 70-year-old recumbent bicyclist suffering from injuries that are considered to be serious. That bicyclist was taken to Nashoba Valley Medical Center by ambulance, and then transferred by MedFlight to Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington.
The 21-year-old driver involved was not injured and remained at the scene.
King Street was closed for a short time between New Estate Road and Kimball Street while investigators worked at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by the Littleton Police Department.
