LITTLETON — Chief Matthew Pinard reports that the Littleton Police Department responded Monday to a collision between a commuter rail train and a tractor trailer.
On Monday, March 18, at about noon, the Littleton Police Department was notified of a collision between an MBTA Commuter Rail train and a tractor trailer at the railroad crossing near King Street and Taylor Street.
Officers arrived on scene and determined that no one was injured in the collision.
Passengers are being taken off of the commuter rail train and transferred to another train. Police are asking community members to avoid the area this afternoon, as the road is expected to be closed at the tracks for some time while the scene is cleaned up.
The incident will be investigated by MBTA Transit Police.
